"I had never written a press release so PingGo really helped me identify the key facts I had to include."
Launching their first ever pop-up cycle repair workshop, it was a fantastic opportunity to get Grease Monkey into the media. But Marketing Assistant Alex Melicher had never written a press release and did not know where to start.
She chose PingGo to help her write her first news story. PingGo offers a number of templates to ensure content is tight, the news hook strong and that journalists will read the press release.
Alex explains: This was a big story for us and we wanted to make the most of it. I chose service launch news kit and started to write straight away. Once we had written the press release and were happy with it we sent it to Glasgow Central Station press office for final sign-off.
My biggest challenge was gaining traction with journalists but, as well as helping me create the perfect press release for my story, PingGo had loads of online fact sheets and top tips that helped me to work out a way to reach journalists.
